InternetNormally, we help the customer set up their home internet service, which means we deal with the Thai language provider and help you get all your paperwork sorted out in order to get service. It's usually just a few days between the time of order and the time you're up and running at home. Home internet service is usually fiber and very fast. In the old days, it was over the phone lines as DSL, aka ADSL, but most of Bangkok seems to have switched to fiber. My home outer suburb switched to fiber many years ago. I use AIS, but there are also at least True, TOT, and 3BB offering fiber internet. True also is the dominant satellite "cable" TV provider, with True Visions (the sole descendant of "UBC", the previous quasi-monopoly). 4G internet service is fairly ubiquitous and performs well as of 2021. When you order home internet service, the provider usually provides the modem, which provides both WiFi and at least one ethernet port. Instructions are provided. You can also bring your favorite equipment from overseas and it will usually work, sometimes just by copying a few settings. We can help you set up your home network. For example, occasionally we've set up a repeater for remote parts of a big house. We have an I.T. expert for that.
